The Best Sausage Gravy
Ingredients:
16 oz. mild pork sausage
1/4 cups all purpose flour
4 cups milk
1 teaspoon basil, dried
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
Sauté the sausage in a medium size pot.
Next add the dried basil, pepper and all purpose flour stir until completely combined.
Next add the milk a little at a time and whisk after adding.
Once all milk is added bring to a boil and allow to boil for a few minutes turn the heat down and allow to simmer for 20 minutes stirring frequently so the gravy doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.
Once gravy has thickened turn off the heat and serve over biscuits. Enjoy
